Sixth Week of Blooms

There were only a few peonies left to open this week. I enjoyed the peonies that bloomed
June 28th to July 4th.  This group could use some more late bloomers.

 This is the end of the blooming season.  I am sure that I have missed some along the way.  There are still some peonies blooming.  Over the next week I will be making sure there are no seed heads and giving the plants some bone meal.
The foliage forms a lovely hedge the rest of the summer.  I will spend the hot summer days designing the new garden for the fall planting.  I am already looking forward to next year.
